Lil Bouncers Age 3-5 |
This camp is for little people just getting started. We will play games with and without a tennis racquet. These games help develop agility, balance, and coordination. Basic tennis strokes are taught using a Red Ball. Each camper should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle. If you need help determining the racquet size, please feel free to sign up for a FREE 15 Minute Assessment! We will provide water for refills and light snacks every day of camp. Each camper will receive a Tim's Tennis USA Cooling Towel the first day of camp! |
Hot Shots Beginner Age 6-10 Dates June 22 - 26, 2020 July 20 - 24, 2020 Times Session I: 8:30am - 11:30am Session II: 5:30pm - 8:30pm Cost Early Bird Until May 31st: $200/session/camper After May 31st: $225/session/camper |
This group of tennis players will focus on the basic groundstrokes, volleys and drop serves. Players develop the A, B, C's of tennis-- agility, balance & coordination while participating in exercises, drills, and games. They begin Live-ball play on a regular court, using the "short-court" service boxes. This helps them develop touch and feel for the ball, and prepares them for future-readiness with their net game. Each camper should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle. If you need help determining the racquet size, or aren't sure which camp your player should be in, please feel free to sign up for a FREE 15 Minute Assessment! This camp is appropriate for players who have advanced through the Hot Shots group, and are able to perform the basic groundstrokes, volleys and drop serves. These players use the standard green balls. The A, B, C's - Agility, Balance, and Coordination are emphasized with stroke development in live-ball play and scoring. A 60-foot court is used while players begin learning the overhead serve. As players develop confidence and are consistent in their serves and strokes, they are invited to join the Saturday Junior Club Game Days. Each camper should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle. Futures Beginner Age 11-18 Dates |
In this camp, players may have had a few lessons, or even been to another tennis camp. We will focus on giving a great foundation in the basic groundstrokes, volleys and serves. Players develop the A, B, C's of tennis-- agility, balance & coordination while participating in exercises, drills, and games. They begin Live-ball play on a regular court, using the "short-court" service boxes. This helps them develop touch and feel for the ball, and prepares them for future-readiness with their net game. They will learn to keep up with their scores in fun games, preparing them for future matchplay scorekeeping. Each camper should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle. Players in this camp are able to rally in short court and full court. They perform with confidence using their basic groundstrokes, volleys, and serves. In this group, players are placed in drill situations to begin learning the more advanced strokes -- overheads, slice, counterpunch, etc. For these campers, Friday of camp is MatchPlay. At the end of camp, we help each parent/camper set up the player's account at myutr.com account, so they are ready to begin inputting their practice matches into the UTR system. They will also be ready to begin playing in Verified UTR Events. Each camper should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle. This camp includes extensive drills to practice game-like situations, court positioning & strategies. Many players in this group are on middle school or high school teams, UTR Teams or Home school Teams. They have made a commitment to advancing their level of play and exhibit a strong work ethic. For these campers, Friday of camp is MatchPlay.
